MOVING MONEY
Two banknotes of different values, held separately, seem to change places by magic!

Secret: For this trick, you will need the ‘Moving Money’ packet that contains one $10 note and one $1 note. Upon examination, you will discover that the $1 note has a secret strip of $10 value printed on it.

To prepare for this trick, first fold the fake $1 note in half, and then in half again. This fake note, when folded correctly, will look like $10 on one side, but $1 on the other.

Fold the $10 note in the same way and you are ready to begin. Display the two notes to your audience, being careful not to show the back of the fake note.

Place both notes together onto your left palm and close your fingers around them. Now turn your hand over, and with your right fingers remove the fake $1 note (which will now be $10 side upwards).

Place this fake note in your right hand, being careful not to expose the back. Close your fingers around it.

You now have the real $10 note in your left hand and the fake $1 in your right. However, because of what they have just seen, your audience will think the notes are the other way around.

Tell the audience that the notes will magically change places, then open your left hand to reveal the $10 note. Now open your right hand, with the gimmicked note’s $1 side uppermost, to show the transposition is complete!

You can now unfold both notes, being careful not to expose the gimmicked side.
