Svengali Magic Cards 02 - The Jumbo Card

The large ‘Jumbo’ card in this set is used with the Svengali Magic Cards for an amusing yet puzzling effect with a surprise ending.

Secret: Have someone choose a card (the Three of Clubs) and then hold up the Jumbo card and announce that you are holding a matching card. Your first and second fingers hide the miniature card on the back.

Ask what card has been chosen and then show the front of the card. Expect some disappointed groans when you reveal an entire pack of miniature cards. Your thumb must hide the only reversed card.

Now claim that you really did know the selected card because it is the only one covered by your thumb! As it would have been easy to cover any of the small cards, no one will be impressed. Imagine their surprise when you move your thumb to show that the only card reversed really is the chosen card. Finally, there is an even bigger surprise when you turn the large card over to reveal the Three of Clubs in miniature!
