THE CREEPING RING

A spooky effect in which a ring creeps slowly up an elastic band.

Secret: For this trick, you’ll need the metal ring from the Impossible Unlinking Ring trick and a regular elastic band. Hang the ring on the band and stretch it between your fingers. Unknown to your audience, hide at least half of the stretched band in your left hand.
Lift your right hand so that the band is on a slant. Gradually release your left hand’s grip, so that the band slowly slips through your fingers (don’t let go!). As the band is released from the lower left hand, the ring will appear to creep uphill toward your right hand.
