Miracle Card Case 01

With this magical prop you are limited only by your imagination. It is usually used for card effects, but it can also be used to exchange one small object for another. Use it with photos, papers, tickets, messages, business cards and so on.

The secret of the Miracle Card Case is a plastic flap that matches the inside of the box. With this flap on top of a card inside the case, the case will appear empty. When the case is closed and the flap allowed to fall to the other side, the card will fall on top of the flap and magically ‘appear’!

Although the Miracle Card Case is very versatile, do not be tempted to perform more than one or two tricks with it at the same performance.

Appearing Card

Prepare by placing a card into the box and covering it with the flap. Show the box to be empty and close the box (allowing the flap to fall to the other side). Say the magic words, open the box and show that a card has now appeared.

Vanishing Card

The only preparation is to have the flap in the box. Place a card into the box and then close it, allowing the flap to fall over the card inside. When you open the box, it will appear to be empty.

Vanishing Jokers

Making a card vanish is fun, but it is always nice to use the effect as part of a routine. For example, before performing some card tricks, say “I don’t need the Jokers for these tricks, so I’ll put them back in the case”. You can then make the Jokers instantly vanish by closing and then reopening the card case!

Changing Cards

Prepare as in ‘Appearing Card’ with a card behind the flap. Place another card into the case, calling attention to its suit and value. Close the case and allow the flap to fall to the other side. Upon opening the case, the original card has changed.

Memory Test

Place the Jack of Diamonds under the flap and take out the Jack of Hearts to show to your audience. Place the Jack of Hearts into the case and ask someone to name the card as you want to check their memory. Perform the change and take out the Jack of Diamonds. It seems their memory is not as good as it should be!

Spirit Message

Write a fun message on a piece of paper and hide it beneath the flap in the case. At any point in your show, display a blank piece of paper and place this in the case. In this spooky effect, the case is used to switch pieces of paper secretly and apparently make a message magically appear from nowhere!

Spirit Prediction

The message you write on the paper could even be a magic trick – the name of a selected playing card, for example. Write “The Three of Clubs” on a piece of paper and hide this beneath the flap in the case. When performing, show a blank piece of paper and place it in the case. Now force a spectator to choose the Three of Clubs. Not only do you find the selected card, but also produce writing on a blank piece of paper!

Instant Appearing Money

A really fun trick with the Miracle Card Case is to make money appear! Simply hide a banknote under the flap and at any time you can make money appear out of nowhere!

Bureau De Change

A neat variation of the previous effect is to make money change. You could place an American dollar bill in the case and transform it into a British £10 note. You could even write an I.O.U. note and change it into real money!

The Coin Case

Another money trick, but this time transforming a banknote into coins! Under the secret flap, hide a small handful of coins. It is best if they are laid evenly and are all the same value, so that the flap sits neatly on top. For the trick, display a banknote and place it into the case. Make a magical gesture and then open the case to reveal that the note has transformed into change. A real quick-change.
